State Anthem of the Karelo-Finnish SSR (Rautio's Melody - Not Official 1945-1956) - "KSSNT hymni"

The Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic (Karelo-Finnish SSR; Finnish: Karjalais-suomalainen sosialistinen neuvostotasavalta) also called Soviet Karelia or simply known as Karelia, was a republic of the Soviet Union. It existed from 1940 until it was made part of the Russian SFSR in 1956 as the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The latter became the Republic of Karelia, a federal subject of Russia, on 13 November 1991.
Sources cite that the KFSSR adopted an anthem composed by Karl Rautio and Armas Aïkïa. However, this is not true. The Karelo-Finnish SSR never adopted officially an anthem. Although there was a competition, Rautio's melody WAS NOT the anthem that won.

After reading the blog, I'd have to say that, anthem-wise, Karelo-Finland would've been forced to finally decide on an anthem after Brezhnev's directives, and that either this version or Pergament's melody would be an official anthem by 1981 at the latest. My money would be on a modified version of Rautio's lyrics because, 1. It's easier to sing, and 2. The Soviet Government would've insisted on using a composer from within the republic.

There was no non-Stalinist version, the KFSSR ceased to be during de-Stalinization so there was no need to write a new anthem.

What an absurd anthem. Btw Armas Äikiä was a propagandist for SU against Finland during the WWII. However he spent rest of his life in Finland after the war as an alcoholic and an overall lolcow. Ironic.

I'm not super patriotic person but it makes me sick to even think about what would have happened if Soviet Union would have managed to conquer Finland in 1939. Thousands of military officers would have been executed and every farm destroyed. That's why I have huge respect for our veterans who said: "Tänne ei oo ryssillä paraatimarssilla tulemista. Tuumaakaan ei anneta tappelematta!"
