●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩ENGLISH۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●
The "Westerwaldlied" (transl. "Westerwald Song") is a German folk song, written by Willi Münker in 1932, set to music by Joseph Neuhäuser in 1935, and published in 1937. An ode to the Westerwald region of Western Germany, it has been performed by the German military for many decades.
The song's lyrics were written by Willi Münker in November 1932. It was set to music by Joseph Neuhäuser in 1935, reportedly based on an old folk song.
A Spanish-language song based on the "Westerwaldlied"'s melody as composed by Neuhäuser is sung by the Chilean Armed Forces, where it is known as "Himno de la Sección". It is also the inspiration for the South Korean patriotic song "Our Nation Forever", used by the South Korean military.

Unfortunately, many leftist circles see that different - and I say that as a "center-left"-guy myself. Many cannot see the obvious rascism they put forward against Germans, while they portray themselves as if they condemn any sort of it. Either way, no matter how much anti-German propaganda these sort of people spout, they cannot take away my sense of patriotism. Greetings from Germany.

Honestly, I don't even see why this song is so controversial considering it has little to no Nazi connotations aside from the time period it was composed in. Hell, even the arranger of the piece was expelled by the Nazis due to his opposition to their policies. It's honestly such a banger too.

@@friederunverzagt8667 Thank you, my fellow human. I, as a nationalist, will always denounce the forced immigration in Germany (and Europe). Therefore, I will upload more German and Prussian song and marches. I hope that they don't get deleted by KZbin. Please understand that if the national symbols of Germany or Prussia are not exactly those who were used at the time of when the song was composed, is because I won't use certain symbols that KZbin could view as "offensive". Here a rough translation: today we want to march a new march to try into the lovely Westerwald Hey, there is a cold wind blowing 2x Oh, lovely Westerwald "Eukalyptusbonbon" above your heights blows a cold wind but the smallest sunray goes deep into the heart Well, Gretel and Hans they like to go to dance because dancing is a pure joy and your heart is laughing 2x Oh, lovely Westerwald "Marmeladeneimer" above your heights blows a cold wind but the smallest sunray goes deep into the heart And after every night there is almost always a fight And every lad who disagrees They say, he has no guts
@myreply1714
@myreply1714 Жыл бұрын
I disagree with your translation of the very last part. I think "After every night there is almost always a fight and every lad who disagrees they say, he has no guts" would be more accurate as "(When) the dancing is over, there is usually a fight and to the lad who doesn't enjoy it (the fight) they say: he has no guts (i.e. courage)!"
