@@ricebowl911 A girl said he was very insistent on her having sex with him, and although it was consensual, she felt really bad afterwards and was saying how Paco was cold afterwards. She shared the conversation they had in which Paco didn't even realized he did something wrong and she told him and he said he was going to give her space. Paco said he regretted it and said how he accepts he tried to guilt her about being in the same city as him and not coming over and later insisting on having sex despite she saying at first she came only to cuddle, not cool at all. He also said they probably weren't on the same page, since he did tell her since the beginning that this was a hookup and she was used to being in relationships and probably had different expectations in the aftermath. That is all as far as we know now.

I feel like it's so tough to bring up stuff that's bothering me, I feel guilty as if I'm making the person I'm talking to sad as well.

Hey, that's why you have to pick someone who you trust to talk about what's bothering you. Although the stuff you vent out can make that person sad, that person should care about you and want to try to make you feel better. And if that isn't the case or you still feel scared to vent to a friend, all you can do is try to find a way to help yourself. A suggestion can be seeing a therapist, since it is their job to listen to anything you want to talk about. But I understand that not everyone has easy access to professional help. Best of luck bud!

It may seem like you are bothering them but just switch roles and think about it. Wouldn't you want them to open up to you so you can help?

@@Kate-oj8tu Exactly. I'm the type who doesn't like asking for help, not because of pride but because I don't want to be a bother to them. But I changed once I started thinking in "switch roles" as you said. I'd feel sad (maybe slightly insulted) if I found out that my friend doesn't open up to me because he/she thinks I'd feel it will be a bother on me. If you, yourself, are kind and generous to others then you should also let others express their kindness and generosity by letting them help you when you need it :D ...It's NOT being selfish at all because helping you will make them feel good as well :)

I'm glad you have Ryan and the others to talk to, that's so SO valuable. I'm going through a rough time in my relationship right now and I feel like it's coming to an end. It's incredibly lonely to feel as though you're going through a breakup when it hasn't even happened. I don't have any friends to talk to it about it though, which makes this really tough.

The timing of this coming out is perfect. It has been a little over a month since my long-term relationship ended, very suddenly and out of the blue, and I am still struggling every single day. I've had a lot going on but this has really broken me down. I talk to my therapist and my friends about it but it is always nice hearing other perspectives. Them talking about putting off feeling the emotions really hit me because I do keep trying to ignore my emotions and pretend like I'm doing better than I am and it's nice to hear them talk about this stuff because I need to hear things like this constantly. Thanks guys. Hope Derrick and I can both get through this~~

Sorry to hear abour your breakup Derrick. It's definitely hard to go through but you have such amazing friends that are there for you and will help you through the hard times. Opening up is one of the hardest things to do but once you start talking about it gives you better perspectives and can really help ease through the hurt. Vest Best wish to you guys and stay strong! I'm really glad they post this sort of stuff other than their comedy skits and whatnot. This helped me a lot as I'm going through a breakup too, also with a rather clean split. It's just difficult and you feel shitty, but for your own sake, feel it out and get those feelings through your system without building them up, like they said. It will feel very, very bad for maybe a long time. But eventually you'll get over it, as simple as that sounds.

Talking it out and having an outside perspective like Paco said is super insightful because it also shows that you have plenty of others that care for you too. I keep everything to myself, because I was afraid of showing others my weakness and being vulnerable. Everyone else has their own problem, why bother them with mine? But, things get pretty tough as time passes by, with every drip of negativity, slowly drowning me. Still hasn't stand up yet, and I've stopped praying that everything will be alright. I'll just last for as long as this body can.

You should really talk to someone you can trust - the thing is, you're not burdening someone with your problems if they care about you and want to help you. And if everyone has problems and things they struggle with, why should you feel vunrable or ashamed to talk about yours? In my experience, being able to talk through everything with someone helps me sort through my emotions in a special way, and I'd really recommend it.

As someone who is older now (55) I can say that the things you thought were so important in HS, by my age, weren't. The things I thought that were so important in College, weren't.
