By popular demand, lets examine the Derrick Rose ACL injury, but with a unique perspective!
We all know that jumping and landing might have played a role in Derrick Rose ACL tear, but WHY? In this video you'll understand in simple terms how movement of our body can lead to ACL injuries and why we are training athletes to improve their movement in order to prevent injury!

Please make a video on LeBron’s perfect biomechanics. LeBron has probably played more NBA minutes than anyone in the past 15 years, and suffered no major injury’s. That would be helpful thanks.

Back in 2008, I was well aware of his Rose's injury history. That's why I didn't favor him over Westbrook. I knew injuries for him would be a matter of time. Rose was better than Westbrook and peaked earlier but I knew Westbrook would have longevity. All in all, it was sad to see Rose go down so many times. And he went down last night. Smh

@@eczotiic8026 My point is that he's had more play time than Rose and he's been on the same team. How can someone as talented as Westbrook not lead his team to a championship at least once in a decade, or get traded to play with a better franchise like KD? He's not a team player and he's not interested in winning.

Thank you for this video. I’m happy because an actual doctor speaking on this issues helps so much. Apparently Derrick rose landed on his heels a lot and even Tracy McGrady had horrible landing mechanics. Especially where he’d land on one single leg so much. Do you have any recommendations on how to train these biomechanics like programs or therapy clinics?

I’ve always been fascinated by the way certain athletes move. Factors like bow legged or pigeon toed (I’m sure these are potentially offensive/non-medical terms) also players that explode/change direction quickly like Dominique Wilkins and D-Rose who jump off 2 feet a lot. D-Rose was fun to watch but the amount of force he was generating to change direction....I love these videos, fascinating!

When it happened i heard a pop in my knee and i was down for a minute in alot of pain and when I stood up my leg gave out. I had pain on the left side of my knee and the back of it also. I also wasn’t able to walk for two or three days. I didn’t have surgery on it because I didn’t have insurance at the time and I’ve always been wondering what actually happened when the injury occurred

Force is the change in momentum over time so if you land with straight legs you stop almost instantly and then the force is huge but if you land with your legs bent then you slow down more gradually and then thare is less force acting on you although it acts on you for longer.
