SDS Overfiend The fact that he's fg% went up is because of the hard work he put in last offseason to prove peole he can still ball and not because of triangle. Rose dominated the NBA in 2011-2012 off the pick and roll. here is exactly what rose said when asked about if he liked the triangle: “It’s a different offense,’’ Rose said. “As a point guard, you’re always in the corner and just got to play off reads and play that way. I get all my points off random baskets. Unless you see it go to the post, all the other stuff is just random basketball.’’ and when asked if he wanted to play triangle he said.. "shit do i have a choise?" | And yes i do watch almost every game. He's shots are not much diffrent from the shots he took while on bulls.. he is just forced to shoot less.. Most of the baskets you see in this video prove that he gets most of he's baskets from broken posessions where derrick just has to cook something up for the team. You cant say that the knicks would be any worse if they just let rose work from the pick and roll most of the time.. that would also open up more shots for everyone while rose is such a threat while attacking. Phil jackson is just too hard headed to say he is wrong sometimes. He refuses to try some other things to see if the offense would get better. Still i think the biggest issue for the knicks this season was the terrible defense.

King Rose Huge Knick fan here. Rose isn't a good player. Let's be honest here, for all the points Rose scores he gives those points right back on defense. His defense is trash. I will never forget how well this man played this year despite being the third option on a dated system. Don’t let the 18 ppg and 5 assists fool ya! Teammates couldn’t hit shots after a good Derrick Rose pass plus there were tons of times Rose got hammered while driving to the paint and still scored. He was like top 3 in points in the paint yet wasn’t getting calls if he had half the calls Harden had and niggas made shots from his passes Rose easily would have had like 24 ppg and 8-10 assists. The nba tried to black ball him so hard and the Bulls booed him. I will never forget this bullshit. All while going some tough shit.

Golden.Boy people don't realize, the mold for the two is the same but their execution makes a huge difference. freakish speed, strength, and athleticism in a PG frame, but Rose has always been more efficient at finishing because his ball and body control is otherworldly, Russ just looks uber aggressive which gravitates people because of the attitude, but it's inefficient and a lot of times out of control. simply put, rose will elevate and go around you, slipping the cracks. Russ just tries to power through you, over you, just bull rush you. that's why I've always loved roses lay up package

No, he's way better at finishing at the rim and stopping and changing speeds compared to how he used to be. He doesn't always attack every time like he used to, sometimes he pulls it out and tries to look for the teammate or looking for his teammate is his first instinct if they're running with him. This is what made Kobe and Mike love this system. It maximized on Iso'ing the whole half of the court to operate. ALSO.. he must understand.. Melo is a willing passer.. the these guys don't cut... They watch Melo too much instead of just flashing.. Rose is still athletic enough to slash and score. I need him to play better defense.. I know he is capable of this from them games against Indiana, Golden State, Atlanta where he was really playing hard... He just can't lax because he doesn't have that powerful defense like Chicago.
