Glad to see his better now, and what a game. Thanks RTE iPlayer , I managed to watch the game. I wasn’t nervous for the lads as we always play better on a bigger pitch & grass too. We won the cup , ee I addio we won the cup. We’ll be stronger next year for the league. I finally got a prediction right that McGonigle would score and what a goal it was. Btw we’re #HistoryMakers as it’s largest winning margin in the FAI cup final.

Derry were very comfortable and deserved to win. Shels were dreadful and barely put a glove on Derry. After beating Rovers in the quarter final, it would have been a major shock if Derry hadn't won it. There is no doubt, the travelling support was brilliant and another great atmosphere among the Derry fans. I'm sure it was a long day out but we'll worth it though.

A Pat's fan here. Thinking of bringing the kids to N. Irish games next coupe of months. I work up north a lot. Hit list is Glenthorn Cliftonville , Ballymena, linfield colarine. Also passed by crusaders staduim yesterday. The question with Crusaders is it a safe enough for us to go to.( looks dodgy from someone from South.

Truthfully, I know of people from different communities who go to their games however there is a small element who would engage in the more rebellious side of things. Derry City FC would see themselves as a club open to all. I have friends from a unionist background who love going there. Vast majority would be nationalist persuasion.

Well done on the Vlog, very entertaining 👍 On the match, Shels were very poor, their set up does not suit the bigger Lansdowne pitch. Derry by far the better team, physically and in a football sense. The game was so one-sided. I expect Derry will give Rovers a good battle next season. I met many Derry fans around Dublin both before & after the game, they were in good form, they certainly came in their numbers.

Have to admit, really wanted a Shelbourne win, great memories of being at their ground when Glentoran played there in the Champions league, 2005 I think, Byrne and Crowe were amongst the scorers, and shortly afterwards in the Setanta, so well received and what a great Shels team at the time, anyway congratulations to City but as I’ve said before, shame that their fans can bring thousands to Dublin yet hardly muster up a couple oh hundred to come to Belfast.
