The bright happy percussion and 4/4 kick make it obvious its not intended to immerse the listener in the World of warhammer 40k. In a grim universe one does not use bright overly compressed soundscapes you would otherwise use in dance music.

i see your point. But not everyone has the same point of view. my music is intended to immerse the listener, there is not only one way to do that, because people have different taste and perceiption. for example i dont perceive my own track as happy but rather as dark and energetic. it also has to do how you associate these sounds. for example i associate taiko drum percussion with high adrenaline meele fights, thats why i used them. on a side note some sounds of the percussion and the soundscapes are actually extracted from official wh40k, video games, but heavily processed and layered with other sounds. i dont know exactly which parts are to happy for you, can you type down some timestamps? (I really want to know! :) ) the track isnt as much compressed with by actual compressors as one may think, there is lots of distortion which also compresses the sound. the heavy compression is not by choice but an unwanted result of the distortion. i am actually trying to get some dynamic range back after i distorted the sound, sure thats of course not the same.

I would tell you what samples , I would tell you what sections, what parts where poor, how the composition failed to immerse anyone in the 40k universe without them forcing images of 40k in their heads like a coke addict forces lines down their nose. Yet I feel that for serious artists there is serious feedback. For you I have nothing further to say. It failed to transport me. But you clearly use warhammer as a way to try market your music to the masses of idiots out there. So Its hard to respect that enough to give you quality feedback. Its not worth my time. I don't think your scheme will work in the end, because the only ones truly passionate about warhammer enough to care, don't usually go out every weekend to get fucked up on drugs and dance to trance all night in a venue with overpriced drinks and sticky floors. Its a shame you chose the path more taken. You might have been decent at composition if you actually tried. Instead here you sit with your pathetic attempts at doing what billions of other DJ's are doing every day. Here is a challenge for you: Compose ONE serious game soundtrack for warhammer 40k. Theme: Space. If you can compose one serious track thats written to be listened to in the background of a video game or movie, AND NOT A CLUB(there is the million dollar hint). Then I will write you a 2 page apology letter for doubting you and I'l become your biggest fan on youtube. Hell, I'l even show my friends and spread the word. Somehow I feel you won't compose the track! All you DJ's are in it for the same reasons. YOUR EGOS. YOUR REPUTATION. Forget your reputation. If you want to compose any theme in an immersive way, you need to focus on nothing but transporting the person. This is where talent and knowledge of composition truly come into play. What your doing now is a joke.... Prove me otherwise!

if you dont like it, just pretend it doesnt exist, problem solved. so why do you have to resort do insults, accusations, and belittle the effort i have done? you see my music as a failure and everything i do as a shame and scheming, but thats just your personal opinion and objectively its not the truth. ok my music is not your taste, thats ok, but dont mix up personal taste with skill, and immersion, it seems my music is able to immerse atleast some people. yes i failed to immerse you (and maybe some other people) but you cant generalise your personal feelings as a fact, thats not how it works, thats a fallacy and only anecdotal evidence why do you generalise and projecting your feelings and associations about other "DJs" on me? (btw i am not an DJ, i am a producer, thats something completely different!) why do you think i am like all these other guys? people are different... in fact i dont like the majority of electronic music.... i never liked the mainstream and dont want to have anything to do with sellout bullshit. i have the impression that you are extremely biased against this kind of music, but there are more shades than just black and white. you dont have to like it, but there is no need to disregard the artistic value just because of personal taste. there is also lots of art i dont enjoy, but i am not going out ranting how bad it is, suggesting that everyone who likes it must be a misleaded drughead! this all reminds me of the "no true scotsman" fallacy. yes most of my tracks are made for the dancefloor, but NOT for the mainstream clubs! especially this track was not intended by me to be played on the dancefloor, also some other of my tracks are not. (i wouldnt care if someone would dance to this) I hope you realise there are some kinds of electronic music which is not made for dancing but is meant to be listened at home. (maybe while playing games or something) i am NOT using 40k because i want to market my music to the masses.... i use 40k as a theme because i am a HUGE 40k fan, believe it or not, i LOVE 40k! Its an integral part of my live, part of my identity! 40k also is not my main topic (yet) its just one of many themes i am using here and there among others when i feel like it. i am just like a regular musician who has his own style who just writes music about stuff he cares about. it happens all the time that someone discovers some music because of the choosen thematic but doesnt like the actual musical content... so... no need to resort to insults... ok? i mostly make music first of all to immerse and entertain myself, then others. if i would making music just for the money i wouldnt choose 40k as a topic among my other topics like: war, negative feelings, dystopia, social criticism and trans-humanism. okay i got a party tune or two, but these are not labeled with any of these topics. i also wouldnt produce industrial, rythm n noise, and hardcore music because all this is way to niche to get really popular and making big money. there are no masses for this niche to market to. if you actually cant hear the difference between music like this and mainstream dance music i really dont know what to say.... i dont see why the typical soundtrack instruments like strings, trumpets and stuff should be objectively more immersive than any electronic instruments. if you think about it... the soundtrack instrumentation is mostly based on baroque instruments and are probably non-existent anymore in the 40k universe. but it doesnt really matter which instruments i use as i said before, it has to do with personal associations, taste, and listening habits. its only because most people are used to it, so we got the association: epicness=soundtrack. i dont care if the majority of people dont get immersed by my music, or cant enjoy it. the majority, the average is not my targeted audience. its impossible to create the one true tune which will immerse EVERY single person on the planet, if someone tries to please everyones wishes he only creates soulless unremarkable music without edges. why always do everything as "written in the books"? my music is meant to provoke, to experiment, mix genres, and to venture off the beaten paths. so i wont bend myself just because someone didnt like my music, i will stay always true to myself. i am actually planning to use some more elements of soundtrack music and will do even more in the future, but its an ongoing process and i dont even have the right quality tools yet to achieve the sound i want. if i would accept your challenge, the you couldnt expect a result this year... as i am almost overwhelmed by the sheer amount my own work and projects i am working on at the moment. i also have the feeling you already made your opinion about me without knowing me. i also see lots of black and white thinking in your comments thats also why i dont see the point to prove anything. i also dont feel like making music for someone who was rather rude and insulting to me. thats not how our society works. so i dont accept your challenge. maybe i will make an 40k themed soundtrack in the future, but only when i feel like doing so. i guess denying your challenge just might strengthen the biased opinion you already had towards me, because my reaction "matches" your expectations. but i dont live to prove who i am and who i am not! i dont have to prove my skills to anyone! i know who i am and i know what i can do! my skill doesnt matter when it all comes down to personal taste in the end.

I wouldn't have had an issue with any of this if you didn't use warhammer 40k as a way to sell the idea of your music which FYI: has absolutely nothing to do with 40k. I feel like i was click baited, and my time wasted listening to that. I know that's not your fault, but it is a bit manipulating. Some folk look down on that. Also you misunderstand my intention, I wasn't criticising your dance music. I was criticising the dance music you tried to very cunningly palm off as music. I don't hate men who know their limitations. A man's got to know his limitations. That awful synth heartbeat imitation and 4/4 kick come in and its obvious as day its dance music made by some unoriginal human being from planet earth. You should walk into your nearest music composition college/school, and ask someone if your warriors of khorne track sounds like anything a race of brutal superhuman who worship an evil god that warps the minds and bodies of its followers would write.... Maybe then my point will hit you like a tone of bricks. But I doubt you will ever ask anyone who composes music for a living. Weak people like you never ask for feedback from people better than them at what they are doing. That's why your music will never become well known like yourself. You will always be a small man until you accept feedback/criticisms from professionals in your field (not myself).

I don't have that problem, there's other chaos themed music that's heavy metal and immersive but this also has a bloodlust tribal feeling to it for a berserker who's doing mass-killing.
