Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that he has suspended Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren for allegedly refusing to enforce state laws, including the recent restrictions to abortion. Warren had signed letters saying he would not enforce laws prohibiting sex changes for minors or laws limiting abortion.

DeSantis constantly oversteps his authority in numerous ways. This will come back to bite him. He needs something right now to divert from the stand he has taken over abortion. Kansas has set the standard for the rest of the country and my hunch is that it is only the start. Idaho received notice yesterday that they will be sued by The United States Government so Ron is suddenly needing a diversion from his rigid stance on abortion. Ah-ha..I will fire The State Attorney General for my State. Whether this person should or should not be dismissed, I do not know, but one thing is for sure.....DeSantis politically needed to take the pressure off of his focus on abortion. He was sticking out like a sore thumb. DeSantis censors books because they do not meet his religious standard, but he takes issue with many types of literature which have been an accepted standard for students to read because they stimulate higher order thinking. Christian Nationalism is already out of hand and Ron puts fire on the simmering embers. He tells parents that they do not have to have their children masked, during the time when Covid was raging and children in school immune compromised would be in jeopardy. In addition, the last time I looked I saw no credentialing for a medical degree next to Ron's name. Knowing Harvard University very well and many professors who teach there, it is mind-boggling to me that Ron was a student at Harvard. I am sure the faculty is shaking their heads in disbelief. Let's be certain that Ron always is motivated politically because of his lust to become President. My hunch is that this will not happen. There are too many intelligent Democrats, Independents and also Republican voters who are gravitating away from the GOP due to the nonsense of Donald and his crimes....and all of these folks combined nationally will be in the voting booth. It will be interesting to see what the Republican Party decides to do to heal the massive wounds created by the former President. Trump will eventually be indicted for his fraud and the planning which he orchestrated in an attempt to overthrow our Government.. Just who in The Republican Party can be trusted not to lie or promote Trump's BIG LIE? The Republican Party sure has a dilemma on their hands.

This is GREAT....I live in Hillsborough county and a cpl months ago I asked one of the sherriff's officers that come into my work if crime has increased with the state of the economy. His answer: "yeah, but it doesn't matter cause the states attorney's office doesn't prosecute and is dropping all the cases we arrest. I haven't been to court on a case in a year and a half" So glad to see our governor and our sheriff doing the right thing!!
