Glad you liked the video. I am new to the band as well, having first heard about them, when the KZbin algorithm recommended them to me. From having watched a lot of there older videos, and an awesome cover of the 9th track on Gigantic a tribute to Kelly Deal "Descartes A Kant - I Just Want To Get Along", they are consistently very good, and were pretty awesome early on in their career. If you check out their KZbin channels you'll have a great time!

Very enjoyable. Has a 60s cheapo TV vibe mixed with a bit of tubeway army, DEVO, FEMM style mannequins with real grungy guitars. Just had a listen to their single "A Catastrophe" - reminds me of Laurie Anderson - not exactly a dancefloor classic - but very good. Be interesting to see whether having a name of Descartes to Kant indicates some form of dialogue between the two philosophers or whether it's a purely random name. "Hello User" is also very good.

Hi, Mr. B. I think it's fine to just call them DAK or D.A.K. since the band leader and founder, Sandrushka Petrova, often says it that way in interviews. Regarding the guitars in the video, those are Annie Clark (St. Vincent) Ernie Ball Signature guitars. Anyway, I love this band since experimental stuff is my usual cup of tea and I'm glad to see you promoting them here. Cheers!

Sandrushka Petrova has lot these star qualities, Debbie Harry, Cherry Bomb, Björk, Cher, Courtney Love, Milla Jovovich, and Kim Deal. I feel this is a modern version of Safari or Cannonball. Just random lyrics and sick riffs.

I 'm sure the name is a play of the surnames of philosophers René Descartes and Immanuel Kant, arranged to sound 'interesting', depending on how you pronounce it.
