It is a similar exercise but the exercise you mention is not an exercise shown or named by Fiore dei Liberi. Rather, this exercise was originally popularized by Mishael Lopes Cardozo of AMEK Netherlands and Matt Galas. It is not part of any historical text I am aware of as such but it makes sense as an exercise and there is no reason to suppose people could not have practiced like this in the past. It simply is not documented. Why this is especially fitting for the Bolognese is that each position and cut in the exercise can be precisely named using Bolognese vocabulary. Hence - while the exercise is modern - we can say it exusts within the Bolognese system or framewirk if cuts abd guards.
