This was on the CD version of the game if you chose to play with Redbook audio instead of MIDI.

Descent 1 had redbook audio on it? I thought it only had MIDI tracks.

Only the Macintosh version did. hose same Redbook tracks were later slightly changed and used for the PlayStation version.

Track 1 is not a music track but a data track - the game itself.

Now, Track 01 is but a mere legend, a myth, like an old god awaiting its return. Until then, we huddle like children around our ancestors awaiting to hear the next page of the story... the next word... the next Track 01.
