Thank you for taking the time to make these excellent videos! As a Descent player myself I am considering the RtL expansion but with Version 2 looming on the horizon I can’t make up my mind. My question for you is do your players find the game well balanced in all levels of the campaign (Copper, Silver, Gold)? In vanilla Descent once the heroes get gold level treasure cards it’s pretty much over for the Overlord.

How do you find the final showdown with the Overlords avatar? Again, in vanilla Descent the heroes make short work of my Boss monsters. Hopefully after all that campaign time the final battles are epic. Anyway, I’ll be interested in your look at Sea of Blood. On Board Game Geek many people complain about it being broken but the differences in the campaign look really cool.

Would you recommend playing a few rounds of Well of Darkness, Altar of Despair and Tomb of Ice or would you recommend going for Descent 1 + WoD+AoD directly. Would you include Tomb of Ice? (did you?)

Descent 2.0 only allows the usage of Descent 1.0 Base game, Well of Darkness, Altar of Despair and Tomb of Ice. Sea of Blood and Road to Legend are not supported. That being said: A.) the Conversion kit basically allows the usage of Monsters and Heroes B.) I am not sure if the tile pieces still fit together (e.g. if you can mix Descent 1.0 and 2.0 tiles)

Believe it or not, my group hasn't made it that far yet. I've been too busy making these videos (and real life). ^_^ As I understand it, there is an adapter kit that comes with the new Descent that will let you use existing Descent material, like the Road to Legend expansion. Unless I'm completely missing something, you should be able to keep using your expansions, with some adjustments, with the new rules.

The pieces do fit together but they are not called for in the 2.0 quest guide. It's a completely self-contained game.

Although I have read the rules to the other expansions, I have not played them myself. I see no reason not to add AoD, WoD or ToI to your RtL campaign.

Ya… but as far as my 2.0 experience goes… I will stick with Descent 1 for quite some time.
