Our second episode in the Operation Overland 2023, Top of the South series.
We will spend the 5 days taking on the regions greatest 4WD tracks with a crew of 6 Patrons all keen for adventure.
Day 2 leads us underground. From the Aorere Gold Fields we descent into the earth exploring a vast cave system before fighting off the rain at camp.

It’s called Devil’s Boots cause there is two large rock formations that look like upside boots near the start of the track, you can drive between them..

Great vid! What size tyres and lift do each of the trucks have?

The Disco runs 31.8inch tyres, with a 2inch lift. Pretty standard for those trucks.

Dmax had 30.5" wheels and and no lift at the time 👍

Blue Surf has 32.8" with 3" Lift

I’m in the 80 series 1.5 inch lift on 33s lowered from 3.5 inches. Much nicer now.
