break it off?? so its better to break off a fish and leave it with a hook in it then unhook it?..... what is that shit? why not just use a barbless and take it out?

Most hooks rust relatively fast and dont harm the fish. But yes, if you're fishing catch and release barbless is the way to go

If you have ever fished with eggs you would know that the fish regularly swallow the bait and hook deeply. Anglers frequently do much more damage by bringing a fish onboard their boat or dragging them up on shore to try to dig the hook out with pliers than simply leaving the fish in the water and breaking them off. The hook will rust out within days and leaves the fish relatively unharmed.

umm... no.... go throw a hook in a glass of water and see how fast it rusts away...days my ass... that hook will be in that glass of water for fucken years. not to mention if its hooked deep and your applying enough force to break the line your probably ripping them open inside aswell...

Moving water is different then still water you dumbass my super nice bluefox would rust after 1 day of being in the river

a hook a fish swallowed does not have moving water running over it because its in the fish''s stomach..and you're wrong about your gay bluefox..do the world a favor kid and go swallow a nice big hook and then report back on how it rusted out in like a day ... but first make sure its got some 10lb test tied to it so you can break it off once you swallow it..

Deschutes is a nice river! only a problem! the steel is to small, will only fish for 20lb steel or more and wild!
