Prior to the pandemic, we used to get heaps of dark stuff from the likes of Deschutes & Firestone Walker, but rarely see any of them now.

What's funny is I reviewed the 2022 vintage earlier this year and got very similar notes. I've had many different versions of this one -- and they've all been different -- but it definitely leans into that Russian Imperial Stout vibe where you get more roasted/charred malt, and the bitterness packs a punch with only a accentuation of the barrel. Pretty much agree with you, at least based on that 2022 offering. Nice review, Jesse. Cheers, buddy!
