William Tyndale is a fine example of doing all things through Christ who strengthens me. May he RIP in Jesus' arms.

As William Gurnall said "the philosophy of humanism has long been a suitor to man's pride" To this day the Europeans hold Erasmus up as a intellectual hero I've been reading Tyndales "Obedience of a Christian man" Its as pithy, vital and fresh today (2019) as it was 500 years ago. No wonder the papacy detested him, he exposed their hypocrisy greed and lawlessness relentlessly. Reading his sentences, its like he gives you a picture of what life under papal totalitarianism was really like. Its at the same time unnerving and troubling.....but time and again he comes back to the glorious liberating theme, sinners saved by a loving merciful saviour, revealed through His promises in His word
