How often do you do desensitizing? I just purchased my first horse and he is a little spooky on a trail and he spooked once while I was doing ground work like flexing and teaching him to back up and follow and/or not follow me. I want to try sacking him out. He is very afraid of any type of whip or lead rope to be used in lunges. I want to eventually get him out of his fear of whips. However, I'm worried he was abused before I got him at some point. I have nothing but time to spend with him and I'm determined to get him comfortable! He is an 8 yr old Tennessee Walker. I've had him for 3 weeks and he has settled in very very well so far. Thank you!!
