Desert Echoes - Polyend Tracker+

All samples/sounds were created with the Tracker+ internal synth engines - including the drums. The ability to also render/resample those synths opens a lot of possibilities. If you have any questions, feel free to ask ❤️. This project will be part of the Factory Content for the ‪@Polyend‬ Tracker+.
No further Instruments have been hurt in the making of this video.

Thank you! ❤I kinda grew up with Trackers back in the days on the Amiga, so i personally enjoy to do the initial composing on them way more than in the DAW or any Piano roll based sequencing. Expression is/was their painpoint though. As traditionally you would have to program velocity and movement step by step. That is luckely a bit easier nowadays, by using a MIDI Controller. But that said, nothing beats playing a certain line/instrument/part actually by hand and record it as such. Speaking of good stuff! Can we expect something new from you guys soon? ❤

@@sandroidmusic it's definitely a different way to work, but I'm sure it allows you to get different result. Different sets of limitations make you work in different creative ways! We're slowly working on getting a live set together to starting gigging in Melbourne, Australia, so hopefully we'll put a few more videos up in the next year to help prep for that! double the cost of polyend tracker, people with the version 1 will get f'all selling their old one though so there's 'that'. 16 track not 12 (track increase same type of spec bump as digitakt) stereo non mono samples (same as digitakt spec bump) added 'synth engines' - taken from polyend play+ its a good update for new users with deep pockets.

Slightly unfair, don't you think? Prices for hardware has gone up since 2020 across the board, so expecting new hardware to cost less is gonna be difficult. And selling the OG for half its initial price seems ok to me (kinda normal where i'm from). Of course we all want to get the max resell value, but times have changed. So all in all, to me it is totally worth the ask. Is it cheap? No, but what is anymore nowadays is gearland 🤷‍♂😅

Big Renoise user which lead me to picking up the tracker for travelling but i cant expect them to offer upgrades on a product thats been around for years only because i picked mine up less than a year ago... maybe a 2025 buy if i cant upload it to my nueral chip by then haha.

Can you use and FX channel to change the presets on the synth machines like you can on a digitone?

as of right now - no. there is no step fx that allows you to change the preset. you can however change it manually at any time during playback, so it would seem technically possible? so i don't know if this is planned at some point or not.. or if there are some underlaying issues that i'm not aware of.

I only have limited experience with the M8 synths, so take my word with a grain of salt. But yes, they are deep and very customizable. Everything you hear in this track is actually made with the synths (including the drums). You can watch existing Play+ content to hear them in action and Polyend has demos of what they can do on their website.
