Anime cut out the details but Elinalise's curse functions like blood poisoning. If she goes long enough without sex, she starts getting rapidly weaker and her mind starts going. She also needs a male partner and can't just use something else, what the man provides is actually the necessary component. Its made a mess of her life but she functionally had chronic radiation poisoning with a work around with sex as a mediating mechanism.

The bones you see in the city are the bones belonging to giant white mammoth we see in this episode. The mammoth is actually far away so it much bigger than what we saw in that scene.

About that Succubus, if Elinalise wasn't there it would've 100% clapped Rudeus, the pheromones it release cause men to go wild and lose all control of themselves so that they can lead them to their lair and eat them/feed them to their young, but the pheromones absolutely repulse women and have no effect on them, and the only way to cure yourself of the pheremones is to either cast "Detoxification Magic" or sleep with a woman, so every adventure group in Beggaritt always keeps a number women warriors/adventurers with them just in case since most don't know detoxification magic. The succubus were manufactured literally to kill off human men in Beggaritt by the Demon God Laplace during the Laplace wars 400+ years ago.

The succubi were natives to one corner of the continent, but Laplace spread them throughout the whole place. It's the same sort of area denial measure as the red dragons.

Another thing from _The Legend of Perugius_ that Rudeus dismissed as fantasy; one of Perugius' companions had named his child before setting off adventuring and subsequently getting killed in the quest, with the child growing up to either be a powerful magician or a complete loser (depending on the copy). That creature out in the distance is a Behemoth. They're generally harmless, like whale sharks. Usual episodes cover two or so chapters of the light novels. This one covered *seven*. They took an axe to a lot of worldbuilding and some bit of drama, but they kept the core parts of the plot progression there. But they're giving volume 12 five episodes rather than the usual four, so it evens out. Stuff skipped/changed: Cliff's goodbye was supposed to be in his lab and Rudeus had to leave the room as Elinalise jumped Cliff and had her way with her, leaving him looking like a mummy when Rudeus came back from Nanahoshi. Elinalise had reversed her decision to go, as she can't be away from the man she loves for two years. She quickly reversed that reversal after hearing about Nanahoshi's help. There were two succubus attacks in the book, the other one with her commanding giant bats to isolate Elinalise. Both times saw Rudeus coming on to Elinalise and outright begging her to let him sleep with him ("Come on baby, you won't regret it." "Nobody needs to find out." "Just the tip!" "It doesn't count as cheating if it's through the back door!"), and both times saw her bonk him with her shield so he'd regain enough senses to detoxify himself. First go had her bust his balls over it, the second time she started getting bothered to the point of needing male company to reset her curse. A lot of wildlife like sandworms and Phalanx Ants were cut completely. The desert also has dinosaurs and gigantic chickens. The rock with the gryphons was before their arrival to Bazaar and they encountered a merchant caravan fending a pack off. They saved them and later joined them as guards on their way to Rapan. The merchant caravan provided a teaching moment to Rudeus about the local culture, including how every adventurer or warrior group has women in it as a measure against succubi, both as a means of fighting off the monster and to deal with the after-effects of the addled men. The caravan ran into an ambush, and Rudeus thinks the mist and walls he cast to slow down the horse-riding bandits might've killed some of them. From the very start of his adventuring, Rudeus has been averse to killing people. Also Rudeus is again reminded of the limitations of his physique. While running away from the bandits for two hours, he ended up winded. Elinalise and the other warriors didn't show any signs of fatigue. Rudeus is on the level of a youth athlete, but in that setting it's not enough to go against warriors who can use their mana to strengthen their bodies.

About the horse, i remember reading that the horses in the northern regions were giant and muscular cause they have to tredge through thick snow

That's the actual family horse by the way, it's name is Matsukaze(they skipped it in the Anime). I knew he was huge, but I didn't expect him to be this big. The Giant skeleton was a bigger version of that white Behemoth that was walking next to them.

the largest horse on record is 86 inches to the withers. Matsukaze looks like he's even bigger.

The succubi are just straight up a death sentence for any man trying to go solo on the Begaritt Continent...unless you're like Talhand. Though, there's special cases like Orsted who has immunity to a lot of poisons on top of the fact that nothing less than a King-tier attack can damage him.

The skeleton you saw at the end of the episode belongs to a Behemoth. You saw one of them this episode. That white thing walking in the distance was a behemoth. Its the biggest creature in this world. that one was insanely far away from them and it still looked big. Behemoths and succubus's along with other monsters we haven't seen in the episode are native to the Begaritt continent so we wont see them anywhere else

Wait did they cut out the Cliff and Elianese scene? Where she has one final night with Cliff, drains him dry and then says "Fuck Paul I'm staying!" Before Rudy convinces tells her about the TP circles? I was really looking forward to that being animated... I feel like they're cutting out the best parts and leaving the worse ones in.
