Desert King is our earliest and most reliable fig. Tastes great too - both the first (breba) crop and the second, jammy main crop later in the summer.

My desert king started growing figs almost 2 months ago but suddenly stopped and the figs are like the size of a quarter. I dunno what’s going on with mine.

Hello Keith X of you don’t mind telling me where your located and your growing zone that my help me understand a little better
@keaco733 жыл бұрын
@@NJCALI Hi, I’m in NJ zone 7.
@NJCALI3 жыл бұрын
Okay I know that the desert king is a great producer for the north west Your fig may only give you the it’s main crop and not the Berber you may want to look into. Cold harder figs such as Chicago hardy . To name a few what I would do as well is give it compost earring worm casting. Is your true in the ground or container?
@keaco733 жыл бұрын
@@NJCALI right now it’s in a container. Thinking about putting it in the ground when the fall rolls around.
@NJCALI3 жыл бұрын
When you do please it in the ground It’s please the compost and earth worm casting on top the soil not mixed in the whole the tree won’t get its nutrients. Quick enough a KZbin I follow is Ross radidi he has a lot info on figs and he is in PA I’m no longer living in NJ but if I did he’s a person I recommend to anyone to follow he knows his stuff
