Been following along with this absolutely amazing project. The sheer insanity of this project is simply unreal. Wish I could pack up my stuff and drive out and help. Again best of luck guys just amazing stuff. I hope everyone down the road who gets to enjoy the fruits of all the hard work appreciates what you've done and what everyone did who flew in them.

Such a staggering amount of work to bring a single aircraft back into being. When you contrast that with the rapidity and quantity with which they were built during the war, it’s kind of mind-blowing.

Been working on it since '85 if i remember correctly.

Glad to hear they are making progress on it. The world may have lost a B17 recently but it is nice to know there are people bringing them back.

Almost got to wonder if they can salvage any of 9o9 to add to this project. It would be nice if some of that plane could have a chance to fly again.

I don’t know if they would use Nine-0-Nines parts since people were killed in the crash. Liberty Belle is being rebuilt though, so it isn’t impossible

Sir Boomsalot Many aircraft flying today we’re rebuilt from ones that crashed killing pilots. It will be in storage for a few years then it will probably be rebuilt to static
