Can you guys go over tagging after the catch and some regulations sometime? got a ticket for fishing withing a fish ladder and had no idea. Just excited!
@kennydaiker19803 ай бұрын
Regulations and tagging instructions are always on the website so u gotta look those up even before u go fish,a spot.its on the department of fish and wildlife in the state oregon or Washington,explaining regulations on an episode would take allot of time,so I'm sure your smart and can look it up
@211-qq5ho3 ай бұрын
Absolutely, here's an informative and supportive reply: "Hey there! We're sorry to hear about the ticket, but we're glad you're excited about learning more. That's a great idea to cover tagging after the catch and fishing regulations in an upcoming video. It's super important to know the rules to keep our fisheries healthy and to avoid any unwanted encounters with the law. We'll definitely work on a segment to educate our viewers on these topics. Thanks for the suggestion, and stay tuned for more content to help you navigate the fishing world safely and responsibly!"
@kennydaiker19803 ай бұрын
So make an episode showing, tagging,river rules?so if u do that u are actually contributing to lazy people, because u aren't making them actually research on there own which any grown adult should have enough common sense to read regulations, see where u can and cannot fish,plus what's open and not open where u fish,and what species of fish,guarantee if the person waits till the video of this tagging seasons and ect,the person would have enough time to find that out upon research,one thing on rigging and how 2's of what u use and why and ect,but regulations should not b explained on a video, looking up regulations isn't rocket science,also go into a tackle shop and get regulations,or does a person need to hold the other persons hand because they can't b a grown adult and research regulations

why does that first sockeye look so black? usually they are red with a green head if they aren't chrome. At least here in Alaska.
@211-qq5ho3 ай бұрын
Great observation! The coloration of sockeye salmon can vary depending on several factors, including their lifecycle stage, diet, and environmental conditions. The one you’re seeing might appear particularly dark due to a few reasons: It could be a male sockeye in its spawning phase, where their color can darken significantly. The lighting and water clarity at the time of filming can affect how the fish’s color is perceived. Some sockeye populations naturally have a darker coloration compared to the more commonly seen bright red ones. In Alaska, you’re right, they’re often red with a green head, but variations do occur. It’s fascinating how diverse these fish can be! Thanks for your interest and for bringing up such an interesting point.

alaska...thats where you can catch fresh sockeye and cook them and eat them on boat or shore....lmao... columbia wasnt even a viable source of sockeye in early 2000s when i lived in oregon.
@211-qq5ho3 ай бұрын
Here's a lighthearted and informative reply to the comment about sockeye salmon in Alaska and the Columbia River: "Haha, absolutely! Alaska is famous for its incredible sockeye runs, and there's nothing quite like catching them fresh and enjoying them right on the spot, whether it's on the boat or shore-side. It's a true Alaskan experience! And you're right about the Columbia River. In the early 2000s, the sockeye runs there were indeed struggling. Conservation efforts and habitat improvements have been ongoing since then to help restore the populations. It's great to see progress being made, and hopefully, the Columbia will continue to improve as a viable source for sockeye salmon. Thanks for sharing your experience from Oregon!"
