Before Anyone says anything, I said the tank was a Chieftain, which clearly it was a Cruiser Mk 4, the Chieftain wasnt in service until 1960's. Now I've corrected this, how many will still point this out...we should have a poll :-p

Likewise I love a good campaign, but when it comes to Taff I'm happy watching the bus driving lets plays. Would love to see a proper spitfire campaign on IL2, but I'm very happy watching Taff enjoy himself more. Besides, when it comes to campaigns, we can always hear Dieter yell MAN THE DECK GUN!

Excuse my kibitzing, but I have done a fair share of dive bombing in Cliffs of Dover/Desert Wings Tobruk. Using the rudder in the attack dive of a dive bomber won't correct a bomb drop. You might bring the target into the sight, but the aircraft is just in a yaw and the bombs are still going to drop straight down. Here is my suggestion-- first, make sure the aircraft is trimmed for straight and level flight before entering the dive (centering the bubble so the aircraft is not yawing is critical); second, in a vertical dive, use roll to adjust aim and no rudder at all (there are some WWII dive bombing training videos that show the technique). Make sure you don't enter the dive with excessive speed because that seems to induce yaw too. You can pull-up up before rolling over into the dive to lose some speed. You can also open the floor window (I think it is the open bomb bay button, or just click and hold on the window knob on the floor) to line up vertically over a target. This is a little tricky, but you can roll a little to scan left and right below you. I find the window works best for big easy-to-spot targets. Once you are lined up over the target, cut the throttle, deploy dive brakes, roll inverted, pull back on the stick and line up the target in the cross hairs. Drop when you get close. Also, you should check the setting on bomb pull-out altimeter (it is immediately above the altimeter with "Hohe" written on it). The setting on this determines the automatic recovery altitude, which will automatically pull the aircraft out of the dive. It was a safety feature in case the pilot blacked out from excessive g's. Anyway, the auto pull-up will mess up your aim if you want to dive lower than the automatic pull-out altitude. Happy dive bombing.

A word to the Hurricane pilot at the start, you never fly straight and level in the combat zone. (exception for being on a bombing run).

It's amusing that even the AI does the 'roll into a dive' thing, so ingrained is the propaganda footage. It looks cool but actual German training and doctrine said to just nose down, and specifically noted that rolling into the dive often results in loss of situational awareness. Still looks awesome though.

Strafing enemy tanks isn't a good idea in the Ju 87B. Your 2 machine guns won't do any more than scratch their paint. The only things you should be strafing is soft targets, like trucks.
