I'm not the biggest horror game fan, but this one looks really fascinating. Thanks for the review!

Lowkey one of the best review channels on youtube, you have great taste in games too. I found you channel through dread templar review as I am into boomer shooters a lot. I might give this game a try as well this video has definitely peaked my interest

That's an impactful comment, thanks 🤘 There are some definite areas I know I can improve in, but reading stuff like that makes me glad where I stand now. Also, that it doesn’t alienate everyone that I jump to different genres. There are too many great games out and releasing that I find it hard not to. Talking about Dread Templar, man, am I eager for the full release tomorrow. That and Dead Space the next day are going to make for a great weekend.

@@solojonathan Definitely excited for the full release as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to see shmups on your channel, as its a genre that I often forget about. I am always looking for games that are challenging and require your full attention, shmups for sure deliver

It's funny, but I was discussing with a friend who enjoys playing games to relax, how I like to consume an energy drink before to play more intense, lol. Shmups and boomer shooters genres I’ve rarely heard people discuss in person, which has always surprised me with how engrossing they are. And when you meet those that like them, it's always with passion. There’s no shortage of games I want to cover, along with those from other genres--like the one from your thumbnail, Hotline Miami. If you ever have a request, dude, I’m open to it: it may take a while, but odds are it's something I'd love to cover. KZbin may not have a message system, but you can drop it as a comment.

@@solojonathan One game that I recently enjoyed a lot is incision. Its an old school, fast paced FPS, its still in early access however the first episode is finished. Playing on the highest difficulty was a lot of fun, I believe you will find the game to your liking

@@StrajaDanGG Believe it or not, but that’s a game I intended to review a while back, and even have the footage for. I would need to replay to gather my thoughts, but I enjoyed it.

I have finished this game, it is truly one of the best ever. Even tho I am not into horror genre or puzzle solving, the story and atmosphereatmosphere of the game are top notch. I also love world building in this game, while exploring the old facility we get hints and notes of how the world was, and step by step as we descend deeper and deeper we gain more clues and insight. Our imagination gets to put everything together as we progress throughout the game

🤘 I'm happy you liked it. The fact that you're not keen on horror or puzzle solving says everything, man-that there is something unique about the game. The atmosphere and story held me captive: I was traveling during the holidays when I played it, and even when I was out-and-about, I kept thinking about Signalis, lol. “Our imagination gets to put everything together” is perhaps my favorite part. Since many things are presented in a mysterious and open fashion, you can give events your own meaning and depth. In that way it becomes a part of you. Of course, the experience must not suck to see in that light-and it doesn’t. Out of curiosity, what did you think of the gameplay and puzzles?
@StrajaDanGG Жыл бұрын
@@solojonathan Puzzles are well thought out and intuitive. As long as I explored the area fully and read all the notes the experience was be smooth. Completing them felt rewarding. Level design is also great I found myself easily memorizing the layout of each level, which helps make backtracking less tedious. The gameplay is on the slower side where most of the challenge is in ammo management and dodging in between enemies to save ammo. For a horror game it is fitting, and I found it engaging enough to keep going. However I prefer faster paced combat, which is the reason I mostly stay away from the horror genre. But am I glad I gave it a try. I will be more open to horror games from now on if they are on the story rich and atmospheric side

It doesn't defy any expectations. It's as boring to play as you'd think and the indie story is run of the mill.
