Dear viewers,
I do reenactment and I often see questions about how the standard German combat uniform should be worn, here is a video with the correct instructions and supplies for a good looking uniform.
( I did not have a bayonet at the time )
This is an old film that I used to upload on another channel. These are images of 7 years old and my filming talent was not optimal at this time, sorry.
Also, there is a big skip in music at the beginning, something went wrong with my video making.

@@Grenadier_Guardsman jackboots became less common during this era but it kind of depends on the unit you portray but personally I choose jacks over low boots

Let´s be honest, that´s some badass looking gear, but also in retrospective very unfitting for a fight, many ww1 elements and very nice but also very uncomfortable parts.

I'm a German WWII re-enactor myself. I'll be the first to tell you that this gear can quite often be very difficult to get right. Edit: Very badass looking though.

A really good effort this I think. You can read about this stuff and study the photographic record all you like but actually seeing how to wear this famous uniform in practice and how a ordinary infantryman would put all the various elements together in the correct order is really enlightening. It's also good to see a young man doing this for a change - so many reenactors I've meet over the years are enthusiastic and knowledgeable for sure but alas are too old (and often overweight!) to convincingly portray typical young Wehrmacht "soldaten' of the late war era.

Not sure if it helps you or not but try hooking your belt onto the tunic hooks first then clasping your belt. I have seen other reenactors do it with ease so it may help you.

It does depend what side are you doing i no that german is like $2,000 but maybe be more 🤔

Look up on KZbin were to buy my ww2 german gear and they will show you but like tunic $100 ammo pouches $50 hat $40 belt BUCKLE 20$ helmet $80 boots. $300 y straps $40-$70 trousers $100 ect And this is just repos that is the german side

Or just do what I did and buy most of the stuff as replicas but some stuff like the boots I just improvised by buying $70 modern day leather combat boots that look very similar to the German low cut leather boots and putting gaiters over them. They look pretty similar and I didn’t have to spend $300.

The gloves are basically useless in a gun fight. You need to have a trigger finger available something the Soviets had were thick wool mittens with trigger finger capability. So you can shoot your rifle.

Not Bad all in all, but most items are not 100% correct, but for beginning ok

A very deceint effort and good guide for starters in the hobby. Definately the shape of young landser pressed into late war service.. A nice contract to all these (mostly north American too old and often to overweight/ out of shape re-enactors) ... If wearing the Sturmgepack, Kochgeshir should be mounted above the rolled Zeltbahn rather than IBrotbeutel... Also, a nicer/shorter hair cup would have enhanched credibility
