adel gurgues He is on pace for these stats. Passing: 61.8% 3,883 yards 8.3 ya 43 td 18 int. Rushing: 614 yards 7.5 avg 5 td. Also remember he didn't start in his 1st game and only played half the game. He has a rediculous amount of yards and td especially for a rookie, but he has to cut down his int. Still the best rookie season ever so far.

He made some rookie mistakes and those 10 points off his TO are a big reason why we lost...but he had an amazing ability to not let that stop him. Thought he played very well in Seattle the toughest place to play. But we didn't get the win

Even with those 2 picks, he put the team in the best possible scenario to win the game. Up by 4 and with less than 2 minutes on the clock. The play calling on that drive was appalling. 3rd and 2 after you ran the ball 2 times in a row against this defense and instead of handing the ball to one of the most elusive qbs in the league, who, worst case scenario can run for the 1st down himself you run the ball a 3rd time and fail to reach the 1st down? Even then, they were still up by 4 with a little over a minute on the clock and the seahawks had no timeouts, and the defense still managed to give up two huge plays and the TD? Come on. Watson was the only reason we were still in the game by the 4th qtr.

Deshaun Watson is the best Quarterback drafted in the last 7 years, by far. His intangibles are off the charts, He has some of the greatest generalship i've ever seen from a QB(His presence alone heightens the play of the 10 men around him, Not only that but they all play at a very high-level for him), His accuracy is superb(He has rare arm talent, He can throw his receivers open which is a trait I haven't seen consistently from any prospects drafted in the last 4 years, That throw to Hopkins just behind Sherman's shoulder is by far better than any throw i've seen from recent QBs), His post-snap reads and pre-snap adjustments have greatly improved, He got baited twice but he'll watch game-tape and improve from it, Another thing is his poise, He reminds me of Joe Montana, The same charismatic cool nature.

The league has never had the influx of talent over a 7 to 8 year period that it has seen over this recent 7-8 years. It’s unbelievable! In fact, you can take that back 9-10 years, because Matt Ryan and Cam Newton should be included. Every year since 2009, at least one potential Hall of Famer has been drafted at the quarterback position. That’s incredible!

This is what happens when you put a rookie QB in a position to succeed and play to their strengths instead of making them carry a team on their back with no weapons or protection. O'Brien has opened up the playbook and has plays that Watson can use his legs or his arm. How many times have we seen coaches draft a QB then try to turn them into something else?

Yes and no. Osweiller, also considered a rookie in many regards, had the same opportunities which he was unable to capitalize on. Watson is an exceptional QB, and I have little doubt that he could shine on any half-decent offensive lineup.

If I’m the owner of the bears and browns I would be firing all my staff: the scouts, gm, and coach like how df you missed this guy. Especially the Browns because they had a chance to get Wentz in 2016 and had another chance in 2017 to get Watson and missed them both 🤦🏿‍♂️
