Definitely not 100% on Watson. Yes he made some poor throws and missed some reads (late release/chips) but damn Dallas straight up cooked our line. This just looked rush and sloppy. Ken and Kev set this team up for failure with this scheme and play calling. Micah had far too many opportunities to affect the tempo and make a play. With essentially no run game, and being behind the sticks EVERY drive they were able to capitalize on obvious pass situations. Kev needs to figure out how to establish some power running without Chubb cause it’s basically non existent. PA is supposed to slow down the pass rush not collapse the pocket 🤣 Watson running for his life back there

There is no excuse to have a quarterback who’s coming back from a broken shoulder drop back and pass the ball 40+ times. They didn’t even attempt to run the ball until the 4th quarter. Throughout this whole video, I saw 2 times where a guy was open past 5 yards and Watson did not make the throw. The other times he was getting hit while throwing the ball • Cooper dropped a wide-open TD • Those wide receivers weren’t open on the passing he threw out of bounds. Looks like he was trying to them it out of bounds • David killed 2 first down with a drop and a slip Looks to me like Watson was getting hit too much early in the game and he stopped trusting his offensive line. He had success on those 2-3 step drops when they attacked the middle. They need to call a better game plan to get these receivers open and they have to run the damn ball some Look at the eagles, packers, 49ers and you see people run wide open They all will be better

My biggest problem is so many missed layups. Usually you get one or two you wish you could have back, but this game looked like a backup making his first start. Its year 3 and the weapons for the most part are the same as last year. I think fans would be willing to be more patient if they didnt just see Flacco cook weekly in the same system with the same weapons. It honestly doesnt matter if we think he's cooked or not...hes going to be the starter every game unless this new suit changes things. Thing is you cant fool the players. Guys on offense looked fed up. Guys like Coop and Moore are playing for their NFL future to feed their families. I give it a few more weeks and we will see if this team rolls over and dies or not. But this last game gave me 2019 vibes. Expectations to build on and it was a disaster year that many ppl got fired for.

Is it me, but I never see DW look off the backers. It seems he decides pre-snap to go to his primary and stares them down. So many folks open but not the big hitter play. His ball placement is awful. He's not hitting guys in the right spot to help get them to turn up field and make a play. 14:50 if he hits Njoku on his outside shoulder, Njoku just needs to break 1 tackle to have a big play. But the throw forces him to stop his momentum and turn completely around to catch it and its over before it begins. Similar situation when he throws the post to Jeudy later where the defender lays into Jeudy forcing him to drop it. He left Jeudy out to dry by leading him like that. Place that on the back shoulder to protect your receiver. Things NFL QBs need to be able to do

He just had poor execution, which seemed even worse when he missed two wide open throws. The WR's were dropping NFL catchable passes, Watson got hit nearly 50% of his drop backs due to poor O-line play. It's difficult for any QB to stay comfortable in the pocket in those circumstances. I think this next week will be much better. This film showed Watson's ability to read the defense and throw to the correct WR is there, he just has to execute. Many plays were frustrating to watch......but the Micah tipped ball interception at 21:17 stood out. Not because it was a pick, but the pass pro decision or call. How the F do you have one of the best pass rushers on the RT edge and allow him to come unblocked by 5 yards?? Dawand down blocks and allows Micah to come in untouched. How was this ever gonna work?

I think will play good against the jaguars

Watson is being extorted.

8:25 what a complete joke to say the pass to jeudy was the right call, he stared him down the whole way and barely gained 5 yards meanwhile Moore is WIDE open on the opposite side of the field at the first down marker with nothing but grass in front of him.

It was essentially the same route woulda been similar result idk how u see Moore “wide open” corner was right there

Imagine a universe, where Baker was placed on IR. He never played injured, he had some stability at HC and OC. I bet in that universe, the Browns are doing pretty well this season. The Browns could have paid Baker 120m and had money for other important pieces. Karma is fast acting, and sometimes, karma takes decades to pay off.

I am happy that Baker is doing well in Tampa but I don't really care to entertain hypotheticals - the only people who do are people who want to make themselves miserable

Eh this Baker stuff is old. He was a meme towards the end. I remember seeing constant trash can memes on twitter and how Odell wasnt the problem. Ppl seem to forget. Also AB didnt pick Baker. He was always looking for an out to get his own guy.
@alexaracich7339Ай бұрын
In hindsight yes but it was his contract year and browns were afraid to commit knowing he could potentially not be 100% after his injury.

I think Kevin should give up play calling. So he can concentrate on the players as a whole. I think play calling is holding him back. Trust the OC to call the plays trust the DC to call the plays trust the ST to get the people in order. I know it’s a little odd take from this video. But Kevin is a great coach think he’s doing too much on one side.

I agree Q the root cause is that everybody was rusty. My opinion : The solution is that more real game reps so that my team that I love is not embarrassed on national TV. Stop crying about no respect when our team does not deserve any respect after the sh%t show we saw Sunday. The defense is not excluded as well the same issues DB loosing there man in blitzes and not setting the edge on jet sweeps are the same issues we had last year. Been a fan for a longtime and will continue to be a fan I just want to be proud of my team and not feel like here we go again, high expectations resulting in disappointment.
@larrycraig240Ай бұрын
Every Defensive Coordinator from here on out is just going to tell his DBs to watch the direction of Watsons helmet, because he’s got 2 reads max. Elite QBs can see both sides of the field or can at least anticipate what should be happening for a split second look. Watson is not what the Browns paid for. We’ve seen better performances out of a third and fourth string o-line and Flacco.

Anyone that thought there was no way out of the Watson contract, doesn't know business. These "new allegations" are the ticket to voiding the contract. No coincidence that the new allegations come after a poor performance. Like the Falcons didn't know Vick was dogfighting...bllsht. That information was handy when the team went 8-8 in '05 & 7-9 in '06 with a 58 QBR and they needed a way out of that 9-year $130 mil contract extension. They're ready to slam that card like a Draw +10 in Uno No Mercy 😂

The play at 36.45. where Watson rolls out to the right. If Tillman stops and gives Watson a target, it’s a 1st down. That is how a Kelce helps out Mahomes. Just stop and show. The DB would’ve kept going. DW definitely needs to play better but help your QB out bruh.

The first play you didn't love from Deshaun there was a CLEAR foul on Amari otherwise he would have gotten that ball...

Not all Watson. But as Tyvas said, he still holds the ball too long. And yes, everyone is bringing up Flacco. The issue here is he had a more horrible line than was playing sunday and only one good WR. But he got the ball out in 3 seconds and tore it up. DW cant seem to read defenses and/or know his progressions. he shows no confidence or moxie or swagger. Always seems to look like he's never played before. Some players have slow starts but he always looks confused. Even when he has plenty of time in the pocket. How can that still be the case 3 years later? That is the question. Why does he not ever look comfortable. Always looks like he's panicing even when time to throw. Bluntly it's year fricken 3. It has to Stop!

If you look at say Bucs offense of film breakdown. Every pass play everyone is at least 10 yards down the feild. The issue is Kev. We still have this bs , vanilla , dink and donk , timing, west coast pass game. Players are all within 5 yards of each other lumped together. I’m so tired of it. No motion, just line up and hike
