Hazard a guess that you are a very busy individual. Your method and overall result looks authentic and natural. Great video, easy to follow with clear and to the point instructions.

I've watched a lot of "how-to" videos and have done some wall "art" myself. But this instructor is an ARTIST!! You are easy to understand, you're relaxed in your presentation and you don't act like a "know-it-all". I would ask for a little more information on paints/glazes used, and various things like that. Thank you very much for this video.

After watching your tutorial I am ready to go for it. Up until now I have been reticent, watching video after video but you have inspired me to get off of my potential energy azz, grab the bull by the horns and make it happen. I hope I can show you a before and after. You have an extraordinary manner of teaching complex concepts into discrete understanding. Thank you for sharing you expertise and knowledge. Excited to view and learn from your other content. Cheers.

I Must say that Martin Craig and Roon Demahom said it way better than I could. Have a question concerning a wall that is already painted with a latex red paint, would love to incorporate that color with your Technic but not sure about painting on an already painted wall? Would love feed back or suggestions on how to conserve the base red color?.

So, I'm redoing my room to look more horror-inspired, and I had an idea for something sorta like Silent Hill. This is PERFECT, as the browns go great for a SH style, but if I just used red tint somehow (or painted the walls red first then added some browns) it would be perfect for a more gorey-look. Thanks so much mate! Hopefully this'll look awesome!

As good as these videos are, they did really miss some opportunities, didn’t they? I can’t imagine why they didn’t put the purchase details in the description box. However, somebody made a good point in the comments of another of these videos: You don’t have to use these exact products. Just google the techniques and types of products, and you will probably learn a lot, and be able to get the same results with similar products of a different brand.
@swordsinging17096 жыл бұрын
I would suggest taking some faux effects product classes. They are located in studios around the country. At least they used to. They have a full line of products some of which he is using in this video. I do prefer to use faux effect products exclusively over subbing other brands ie isopropal as oppsed to activator 2 and or blending solvant. Or high percentage acrylic based paint ben moore as opposed to Setcoat basecoat products. I know that corners can be cut and save some money per sq. ft. But its not going to make or break the deal for the clients I seek.

@boblafountaine95606 жыл бұрын
No, you are not the only one! That was my initial thought as well. What good is this video if he doesn’t give you the damned brand and colors? It looks great but really frustrating when lack of information leaves you hanging after watching the entire 15 minute video.
@seanmcaleavy23695 жыл бұрын
@@boblafountaine9560Everything you need to pull this off is in the video. The base coat is an off-white, Navahoe White or Swiss Coffee will work fine. You want the base to be a matte or satin sheen and not flat. Then you will need two browns with one being darker than the other. You will need some glaze and some isopropyl alcohol and a little joint compound and that is it. You don't need the specific brand that he used or even the exact colors.
@salixharuna60597 жыл бұрын

What in the world did you take a sniff of the alcohol for at 3:30? lol Ok, so you spliced the video when you were noting that you may begin to blot up the spots too early as it "smooshes" up a bit, but what's an approx. amount of time it takes for it to set up & freeze? Lastly, what exactly is this Fautex? That's just a brand name, so what could be used in place of it if it's not avail locally? I can only imagine using a tiny amount and wouldn't want to waste the monies on a large tub such as that.
