Good effort, but one has to assume realistic technical coefficient. For instance, 7.5 kg milk for calf feeding in the first month ?? Too high, a half of this ,( 3.5-4 kg depending on body weight) is sufficient 10 kg green fodder per day for a cow yielding 14 kg or 7.5 kg average - too low, are we feeding a goat?? It should be 25-30 kg 4 kg concentrate per day for cow with average yield of 7.5 kg, again too high; 3 kg @ 1 kg against every 2.5 kg milk is the thumb rule. Add disposal value of 2 heifers at maturity, minimum 1 lakh income - has not been included. Value of manure produced is forgotten. The cost benefit analysis shown is not based on Scientific methodology and hence can not be taken at face value.

Good Effort TKS Point 1 (7.5) Milk per day for( 1st month) in this breed two teats milk is a good diet ( all this is as we learnt from our forefathers) and this is my personal experience Point 2 We feed 10kg and this breed is such a smart if u try to over feed them they won't eat so why to waste ( I think u have compared it with some other breed of cows) Point 3 4kg concentrate is prity good as u can see the health of our cows they give birth on time every year almost same month that all because of good diet Point 4 you said I haven't mentioned 1 lac of 2 hifers who will buy show the market .come into my shoes sometimes u have to give free too how will u adjust that expenses it is very easy to point Point 5 I have very clearly mentioned that a combination of cows and organic farming is only way out to survive and help out mother nature and uplift this profession

However I feel that till the time we don't have desi breeds giving at least 25 ltrs a day, a small farmer should not even think to enter into this field. The onus of taking organic farming and promotion of desi breeds lies on the bigger land lords.... Hats off to you , for your enthusiasm......
