Not Desi, but I went to Desi birthday party at a chuckie cheese or something like that once. It was what you might call a normal american party with all the games and pizza and what not; for the first part of the party it was mostly our friends there. But at some point, the entire family of my friend showed up and the party almost instantly turned into what I can only describe as a desi rave party. No electronic music, just Desi music and if I can recall correctly they had brought their own instruments as well. Pretty much they shut down Chuckie cheese and for like 3 hours it was just the party there doing their thing. Now I was about 7 at the time so I had never seen anything like it before but it was amazing. Like 30-40 people just dancing their asses off and having a great time. Easily one of my favorite childhood memories.

My absolute favorite game was "What Did We Change In The Room?" Basically wed shove a cousin into the bathroom and then we'd each move one item around in the living room. Then the cousin would be allowed out and would have to figure out the changes within a five minute time limit. I was the best at that game and I never played another birthday party game I loved more.
