true there is nothing as safe distance for new learner or pro driver. safe distance is safe distance and there can be many things like front vehicle may come back little, or front vehicle breakdown and you need to exit from side, etc. Itna samne wali gaadi ko pappi dene ki zaroorat nahi hain. Bus jyada safe distance liya to beech mein choohe 2 wheeler ghus jaate signal mein

Not very useful because it does not mention any rules. The simple rule is , stop when the wheels ahead disappear. In case you need to come little more, lean forward and look out or put head out of windows and judge and bring forward but the top of plate must be visible. Don't bring to 1 feet gap as mentioned here. You will be in big problems if some one thinks like u and leaves another car just 1 feet behind u

Sir. Ek aur way hai. I think that would be easy way. U can go to near vehicle till u can see vehicle back bumper. The movement u do not see just stop. You can see vehicle would be standing on safe distance approx 1 and half feet. That would be safe distance. For that u need not do distance calculation, only watch.☺

Nobody tells you the right and short-cut trick. Unless or until you can see the number plate of the front car, you can keep moving. When you stop seeing the number plate of the front car, you should stop your car right away. That would be the safety distance you need to maintain in order to keep your car safe.

Very BAD IDEA to park such away behind another car. you cannot take out your car, if the other (front) one was stalled or stopped, without reverse. and imagine another car parked just same way behind you.

Safe distance is to able to see front side car back wheels . From the drivers view. That's the safe distance you need to maintain not to close not to far.
