Even though cars today do more than ever, their ability to take us from point A to point B is their main function. Since the days of Karl Benz and the earliest cars, the challenge has been finding efficient ways to get power to turn the wheels. Electric vehicles rely on traction inverters to drive electric motors to turn wheels. This presentation looks into the requirements on passive components on these very high-power inverters.
