hey mate, we are using the shape builder tool, to remove unwanted parts and just keep the rectangle shape.

Look, this is really great/helpful - but man - I would love it if you turned on that feature which shows us what you are clicking - there are a few things you did that I have no clue how to do and - like at 1:30 - you do something to the corner of the box . . . no clue what you keyboard shortcuts you hit

unfortunately i tried using the show keystrokes feature with a software but it turned out too much distracting , so i only show important shortcuts , but i'm planing to do in-depth tutorials and explain the whole design process as well as the shortcuts i use daily . as for the 1:30 i just used the direct selection tool shortcut Key "A" and moved the corner to the top nothing fancy ;) and again thank you for watching this videos mate

@@Charlotte12011993 I used the shape builder tool, shortcut key for that is *SHIFT+M*, the shape builder would allow you to create shapes or remove shapes, you click on parts of the shape that you want to keep, and you ALT + click on parts that you want to remove. I can explain all the day here but nothing is better than trying the tool for your self it's so easy to use. but let me tell you with great power comes great responsibility.

actually OPT is the same as ALT , it's just a mac command, so if you are using mac you use OPT, if you are on windows you use ALT
