Thanks for this! I never considered that a cover signals how zany a story inside is, but it makes sense! I'm not writing a cozy mystery, but I'm designing covers for a contemporary fantasy series that has major cozy vibes (one reader said it felt like a "Hallmark" movie)-- but the stories aren't romance or mystery focused, so I'm a little stumped at how to approach the cover. Therefore I'm researching videos like yours. "Cozy Fantasy" feels like a closer label match, except all the ones mentioned in the lists are medieval fantasies. Mine's closer to the TV series "Bewitched", which I've heard is a part of the "fantastic family" genre. But as you mentioned in your video, there may not be a "cover code" for that, so stumble on I shall. Thanks for letting me ramble! Good tips in this video, presented quickly. Nicely done.

This was a fun and interesting video! I’m no where near the point of needing a cover for my book but it’s always nice to get an idea of how things work.
