Dear Kumar , can you make a tutorial show how to correct the internal temperature in the building from design builder to energy plus using the slab utility , many thanks

Dear kumar, Do you have any idea on why air change rates are extremely high when using calculated NV? i scheduled windows to open when external temperatures are lower than internal ones, with an opening % Glazing area opens at 64%. I even limited the wind velocity to 2.5 m/s using the hybrid mode. At the end air change rates overpass the 30 ac/h within a single room. Going further in the analysis, flow rates are above 2.3 m3/s when looking at the level of the window. Did you have such issues with calculated natural ventialation on DesignBuilder? Thnaks,

Dear kumar, video is very much helpful for modelling NV. I would like to know how do you impose ASHARE 55 standard for NV hours. You mentioned in the video '0' referes NV hour and '1' represents Non NV hour. Can you please explain the reason? Many thanks in advance

You can impose ASHARE 55 by using the way I showed. Also, you can find details in following the link bigladdersoftware.com/epx/docs/8-8/input-output-reference/group-internal-gains-people-lights-other.html#field-enable-ashrae-55-comfort-warnings In the case of 0 and 1, Do you mean scheduled and calculated ventilation? if not, Can you please indicate where I showed this? I made these tutorials almost 4 years ago. Thank you!

@@biswajit512 at at the end of tutorial, the results are exported into excel sheet there you have shown 0 and 1. Can you please explain it?

@@nagarajudora47 I see. Those are just to calculate how many hours are comfortable or uncomfortable. Its a binary logic check.

Is able to import a 3D component from Revit or SketchUp and then apply it to the block is created in DesignBuilder?
@biswajit5127 жыл бұрын
The target of using Design builder or Sketchup is to create the 3D mass needed for EnergyPlus. The simulation and analysis can be done in E+. In the case of importing from SketchUp or Revit, I would suggest making the 3D in design builder or SketchUp only. No need to import from one to the other.

I thought the DesignBuilder gives both, 3D mass and simulation analysis. I could export Revit file to SketchUp. So, how could I be done the simulation? Is it by SketchUp? Thanks,,,

How do you model an economizer?

Thank you for the question. I think you know about the following links. designbuilder.co.uk/helpv4.2/Content/Economisers.htm bigladdersoftware.com/epx/docs/8-0/input-output-reference/page-051.html#field-economizer-control-type
