5:26 regarding the automatic transitions it feels like a double edged sword to me. I'm worried about: 1) Some people might be in the middle of reading when suddenly the card changes too early. 2) I think according to WCAG looped animations without a possibility to stop them are considered inaccesible. This is probably not a big issue but still would make me opt for keeping it static and let the user decide when to switch cards.

Hi I am a beginner designer and was curious as to what counts as responsive design vs adaptive design. From my research responsive design is using one layout and making it responsive for all devices, so would this be considered more adaptive design?(designing for different layouts) thank you!

nice insights. i think i did pretty well, maybe i should've decreased the distance b/w the cards a bit more on tablet. Also what are your thoughts on, making the logo centered on the nav in tab/mobile breakpoints, and putting the menu and cart on left and right edges. Is that an acceptable change?

I personally liked it it was different. But the common pattern nowadays is having it to the right and I probably would have looked on the right for it first.

You should make sure your designs are accessible. I can tell some of these designs (including your improvements) dont make the right contrast ratio.

​@@DesignCourse I am a bit baffled i need to tell you, Gary, which design elements don't meet the right contrast ratio. I will not bother going through all of them but here are two that really stand out: - The lighter grey background for the 'cards' (which house the quotes) in comparison with the darker grey background. Visually impaired people will just see floating quotes without any clear boundaries. To make it clear, i am talking about the #212121 card background that is used on the #191919 darker grey background. Not all designs have this #191919 background. - The chevrons you 'fixed' actually don't meet the contrast ratio compared to the background so some people won't see the chevrons. The colour (white) the initial design had actually does. I agree this stands out too much but you could choose a 'white' colour in between yours and his and still meet the right contrast ratio. There are multiple others but i suggest installing a simple plugin to check for yourself ('colour contrast' works well). If you are interested Gary, i can give you some lessons. I don't even want any money for it since i feel education should be free for all. But if you do decide to teach people, please make sure to include all people in your designs and teach them properly. Did you know 16% of the world population experience significant disability? 27% actually have disability.
