very nice review. mg is a steal compared to bottega's and i do think it's prettier too. i got the blue and the claret of the minis. the claret is not soft lambskin than the blue though. and i saw in an article that taylor used a pearl one and looked so nice too! ❤ i also got the movimento bucket one, black flamma and all of them are really spacious.

I have the Mansur Gavriel, which I love for its softness and volume, but the leather is ruched along the top frame quite tightly and it doesn't feel like the maker wrapped the frame in a layer of foam. Consequently I am seeing wear all along the top as I open and close the bag. It retails for $700 in Canada and its the most I've spent on a purse so I hope it lasts more than a year. Also I love the strap and the way the ends stick out but I am tall and in order for it to hang properly for me, I had to make the knots at the ends. I don't think MG thought about that, and by the looks of it neither did BV.

I have two MG bucket bags, and as long as you get some non toxic nice shoe polish, and take care of it, they will last you decades. Especially make sure to take care of the bottom corners.

I went into a bottega boutique and the SA was really pushing for me to purchase this mini in almond - she kpt telling me it was the last one (IDC 😂). I was truly underwhelmed with the bag after holding it. I love the cassette and am considering buying one in the future, I also prefer and find lambskin more luxe although it's more fragile. I'm with you on the Mansur here.

I am getting a collection of Mansur Gavriel stuff, because I really like them, and I find them better than Bottega. The cloud pouch is nicer. And MG shoes are amazing.
