Hi dears! 💕 My hubby and I just hit our 15 yr wedding anniversary, so making this video felt like a stroll down memory lane!! 🥰 Thank you to my lovely subbie who requested this video. 💕 By the way... I only included “designer” jewelry pieces as that was the request. However, please let me know if you have any interest in seeing my favorite NON-designer jewelry pieces. If there’s enough interest, I will make another video! Thank you! 😘 Have a great day!! 😊

Whenever I came across a Tiffany's store and had time I would pop in the store and get a polish done, I've never been turned down (consistent worldwide) and they have always been so happy to do so right there on the spot! I made this a routine of mine so that my bracelet would never become extremely tarnished and the polish always made it feel and look brand new again 😊

Priya Badial It’s so true! Tiffany’s service is amazing. 👏. I should just stop by with all of my jewelry and get them cleaned. It has been a really long time since I got my wedding band cleaned from them, and I’ve never brought in my silver pieces. Don’t know why I never thought of it!! Thanks so much!! 😘

Silver is really easy to clean without any nasty chemicals. All you need I a piece of aluminum foil on a tray, some salt, place your jewelry on top and pour some hot water. It will clean itself in a few seconds... Nice and classy collection by the way 😊👌🏽

Me three? For high school graduation, my aunt gifted me the small size of that necklace and I took it to college. Somehow it got lost or misplaced and I've never seen it again. Super sad and I've been wanting to get a replacement.

Toothpaste with a soft toothbrush or there is sterling sliver cleaner at most stores like drugstores or supermarkets. But I use toothpaste with baking soda and they shine up great.
@LNatureblush4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your jewelry collection. An easy and non-toxic way of cleaning sterling silver is using aluminum foil with the shiny side up in a bowl, add hot water and baking soda. Let sit and then using a soft baby toothbrush to brush away the tarnish. I wouldn't recommend using it with semi-precious stones, but I have used it with precious stones (sapphire) and it works fine. For pieces that are stone-free I would use very hot water on it and sterling silver should be okay in that condition. You have to repeat a few times if the tarnish is very heavy.

Lovely jewelry collection. The Tiffany’s stamp 925 meaning it’s 92.5% pure silver, the remaining metals are made from other alloy metals. I’d love to see your other jewelry “non-designer” collection. Hope you and your family are staying safe. 😘

Bicarbonate soda is great. Place some into a bowl and place your jewellery within it. Then, add boiling water from the kettle. Leave it there for 15 minutes. Then, get a toothbrush and brush the piece of jewellery with the solution. Afterwards, dry it and polish it with a cloth. This is what I do and it works very well. I use it on pieces with stones too.
@hellocatwalkcity4 жыл бұрын
Caterina Chapman Oh cool, thanks for the tip! I think I’ll bring my Tiffany’s pieces in to the store to get them all cleaned, but I do have other silver pieces (not from Tiffany’s) that I’ll try to DIY clean from home! Thanks dear!!

hello catwalk city I have several pieces from Tiffany’s and I do the same with them. The writing on the Tiffany plaques is like new after this DIY treat! I use this for gold and platinum too. I love jewellery apart from bags! 😃

I have a lot of silver that is old and I would never heat it. The metal will expand and change the size when you heat it the stones could loosen clasp could change links or soldering could change. I don’t believe in immersing silver in water it just adds to the potential of pitting or scaring
@CaterinaChapman4 жыл бұрын
Leslie Craven that is your opinion and I respect it. I just shared what I have been doing all my life and it works. All my silver pieces are like the first day. I have a bangle from 1975, the year I was born and it looks like new.
@lesliecraven30874 жыл бұрын
Beautiful collection and lovely hands to model Three ways to polish silver tooth paste, silver cream, or silver cloth. On your keychains I would use toothpaste why not? For jewelry with stones I prefer using a silver cloth The silver that has intricate pattern like your knot earrings I prefer using a cloth. When you use cream on an intricate pattern it gets stuck in all the nooks and crannies and that’s not desirable. Ideally you want the surface to be bright and shiny and then the crevices be black. The contrast of black and silver shows the design that’s something that people don’t realize. And that is part of the patina of silver. I use silver cream on very large pieces trophies, smooth trays, Paul Revere bowls. This type of silver does not have the nooks and crannies the smooth mirror like finish is the design. I love silver I’ve always loved silver and I have a collection of all kinds of silver.

I feel like with jewelry you really have to take your time to think as to whether you will still want to wear this piece in 5 or 10 years. Is it something you would want to pass on to your children even? I really dislike costume cheap jewelry that just follows trends but has not actual value.
@ellamejia20014 жыл бұрын

Beautiful jewelry! Love the click clack bracelet and would love one close too my skin tone as well. Tiffany is so lovely and I own a few pieces of my own but I've never purchased from the store as they are rather pricey for me. Your DH is a smart buyer. But I laughed so hard hearing of the auction earrings.... Trust me, I'm Very Careful about what I show interest in and the conversation most likely will end with, NOPE, I Don't Want That!🙄😬🤣😄🤣😄

I don't know where this myth came about, but Tiffany jewelry didn't even exist when the sterling standard was set. Sterling silver was subject to official assay some time during the reign of Henry II. They weren't even the first to use it in America. Although it wasn't officially assayed as sterling silver (no assay office), the same English standard was used in the colonies. The first assay office was established in America in 1814. Tiffany and Co. wasn't founded until 1837.

Sterling silver shouldn’t tarnish like that, because it’s silver that has been treated. Your jewelry must be silver, silver does tarnish
