DougDoug capitalising on AI for content is genius. And it produces very funny content. Thanks for being cool, Doug
@vooshmoozik61856 ай бұрын
it's a bit of a copout to me, don't get me wrong, AI is great for content, but when you depend on it instead of using it as a side thing like vinny does, you trap yourself in a corner where you don't have to go the extra mile to be more diverse like he just said in the beginning of the stream, don't let them know your next move, predictability is a mood killer

If DougDoug miraculously sees this, the final boos should be a necromancer (controlled by chat), spawning the opposite and 1-3 from the previous party. Only the necromancer needs to be killed to win. Lore: necromancer put a curse on there friends/family, and only killing him removes the curse.
@sagacious036 ай бұрын
I watched the VOD recently, having missed the run itself. (I overslept.) It's funny that he says during scenario crafting that he'll remove the explosive barrels because it'll make it too obvious what to do, considering what happens later.... 3:53:37 "In the final battle, there will always, always be an explosive barrel, don't you guys worry." I forget if this ended up being true or not.... Once again, thanks for uploading!

Set up each AI with the following behavioural parameters. 1) Party Goal: Get the McGuffin/Collect all the gemeralds/both (three options for the party goal). 2) Personal Goal - this is about the individual character. Does the thief want wealth? Does the Cleric want to spread their religion? Etc. 3) They should always keep in mind, when deciding on their actions, that the health of the community is important to them. The idea, here, is that these parameters set up the AI characters as close as you can to typical players without getting too complicated. That's my thought anyway. Should also help with them wanting to interact with the 'decision points'.

@@kordami28 Language is not bounded by grammar. Grammar is bounded by language. If everyone starts doing it that way, then that's the right way to do it. It's dumb, but that IS how it works. It's obvious with words with shifting meanings, but it's also true of grammar and even just language conventions. Double negatives were very popular in Middle English. Now people think you're an idiot if you use them. Such is the way. No need to be a douche.
