Eric, you absolutely crushed it! Watching you whip up that logo was like magic-you make it look so easy, like “no big deal, just casually designing brilliance over here!” 🔥 Your drawing skills? Off the charts. 🎨💯 Seriously though, you made this whole process look like a breeze, and that’s what makes you such a boss instructor. You should be strutting with pride after this one-total rockstar status! 👏🚀 KZbin superstar!

Thank you so much Nando! 🙌I'm so glad that you liked the video and the way that the logo turned out! I have really been enjoying incorporating more hand drawn elements in my work lately in an attempt to create something with a bit more character and personality. ✍I truly appreciate the kind words and thank you again for taking the time to check it out! 🙏⚡😊

Intersting video. I would say the logo leans more on illustration. I think it would be more leaning into even character design vs logo design.

Thanks so much for your comment! Recently I've been feeling drawn to detailed, mascot-style logos. That may be why it's feeling a bit character-like.

@@EricVasquezDesign That is cool. Wonder what it would be like to lean in and do a full mascot design. I have seen other prompts like that. Would help flex that illustration itch but also branding with what a market would want, say targeting kids or something.

As someone working in graphic design for TV I can only think what a luxury it must be to have a whole day to design a logo :)

Hahaha. Yeah when I worked in-house, there were times when we only had an afternoon to work on a logo or title treatment. But somehow the deadline always got extended when the revisions came ;) But the whole process was usually just a couple of days.

Hi Eric, I came across your video on LinkedIn and had to track it down-great insights! I’m hoping you could offer some advice. When working on a logo with a more complex concept, like life transitions or changes, how do you approach it? I’m currently a bit stuck and would appreciate any insight you can share..I appreciate you!

@@Golden_Kelsi thank you for your comments and for tracking down the video! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊 When it comes to approaching logos where complex concepts are involved, I always come back to the research. I would try creating word lists with all of the related words you can come up with and then do searches on Pinterest, Dribble, Google, or Behance to see how some of those terms are represented visually. I have found this to be a really helpful exercise for coming up with visuals that can be combined to convey the idea. I hope this will help!
