Designing casual sunglasses with Autodesk Fusion 360. The focus of this tutorial is using the t-spline 'sculpt' mode, to create casual sunglasses. The model is then 3D printed using a SLS nylon printer.

Great tutorial. But why exactly (1/9)m*2 is diameter of sphere? Is it standard for all eyeglasses designs?
@willythekman7 жыл бұрын
Well, there are different spheres for different kinds of glasses. Sporty ones generally have smaller spheres, while casual glasses such as Navigators have larger spheres. The name of the scale escapes me at the moment, but if you go to an optician you can buy different lenses for different types of glasses. You can also measure an existing lense (a serious optician will have one) if you need to replace the lenses on an existing pair.

Great Tutorial. But, No matter what I do, the software will not let me use the sphere as a plane when I create a face. Any suggestions?
@ishit958 жыл бұрын
Yes, same issue. Help us william!
@ludvigblaback90017 жыл бұрын
It seems like Fusion counts the SVG-files which William uploaded as the object to snap to (when checking that option when creating the face). Therefore I tried to put the SVG-file canvas behind the sphere and then when I am creating the face at the front it has the sphere as the closest object to snap to. It works somewhat. (Note: I am just a beginner in Fusion 360)

Vertices is the plural, vertex is the singular (not "vertice").

In my case when i want to add a face, object snap is not selectable. Does anybody have an idea what i'm doing wrong?
@jackiemhanna57216 жыл бұрын
If I'm doing this using a sketch I created in Fusion 360, can I just project the shape onto the sphere?
