You’re my favorite “on the spectrum” homesteader. 😂 And I mean that in the most respectful way. You’re hilarious, smart, humble and skilled. Love the combination. Glad I found your channel.

This is going to be pretty cool 😎 Chad! I can hardly wait to watch it being built! I think the spot you chose will be quite perfect! My Dad and I used to watch Mike Holmes all the time, and he built all kinds of stuff and did house repairs just like him. In fact, my Dad overbuilt everything 😉. Ha, ha, ha! Say hi to My Darlin 🙋♀️

I learned a lot from mike homes over the years. I really overbuild everything too. I’m trying to build up the farm to set us up for life. Don’t wanna be building again when I’m 70 😂 my Darlin always looks forward to all the viewers comments.

The only part I hated was when my Dad put something down he couldn’t find it fast enough so I would have to stay close when he called my name to help him find it!!

I would say that you might put the wire on the bottom of the outside run or they will dig out and other animals will get in .

We are still working on our rabbitry. I think fall is coming sooner than later, so I was just telling my husband this morning, we need to get a move on.

Yeah that’s what I said too. I didn’t want it too complicated so I can finish before the bad weather. I think I’m doing well for time though. Time does fly by when ur having fun eh.

Any ways i suggest you to build an area for baby rabbits because the females if stress tendt to kill their babys
@viorelmocanu120511 ай бұрын
In a rabbit colony, is always better if the does are sisters or mother with daugthers, kept toghether all their life. Only the buck, needs to be from a different line, kept in, just when you need them to mate.

I had bunnies a very long time ago. The male can’t stay with the babies. They’ll kill them

My buck was in with my doe and he's an amazing father. I recently separated him though because she's already on her 3rd litter and probably needs a break. When he was in there, he was great with the babies though, checking on them often and even protecting them. He made "angry bunny noises" when I was checking in on the first litter and even bit me for messing with them while the doe didn't seem to care. She's a good mama though because she raises them pretty well. He's still technically still in there with her because they are bonded, but he's in a cage within the cage. I put a few of the 9 week old buns in there with him so he isn't as lonely and so the 5 week old babies have an easier time getting food along with mama who has another litter that are only 3 days old. I'm not sure how many are in the nest this time, but it looks like a lot, possibly more than a dozen. Its mostly just a rumor that the buck will eat the babies. A doe will sometimes eat a baby if the baby is sick or weak because she's incapable of moving them unlike other animals so eating it is the best way she can protect the rest of her babies. I think they might also eat the babies if they are too bady stressed out by something, but I'm not as sure about that one.

Probably a great video but I get real annoyed by all the youtubers that do not stick to the point. I stopped watching because I need information about the colony. I don't have two extra hours just to watch extra's for fun in all the video's.
