I’ve been to The Commons in Thonglor and it has always been one of my favorite pieces of modern architecture. So imagine my excitement upon seeing The Corner House, exuding the same vibes as The Commons. I should’ve known both places have the same architects. However, I feel like my recent visit was a bit of a let down. Some things may be good in theory but not in actual applications, especially since it was very hot inside the area. Perhaps, we can consider investing more into the fans as they were not enough. Another thing, I’d like to point out was the spiral staircase to visit one of the bars located at the top floor. Definitely a minus point for accessibility. Also, while the ramps fit perfectly into the overall aesthetic of the building, I wish they had a bit more function so people would be encouraged to use them. Normal patrons would rather opt for using the elevator to navigate through the building’s floors. Anyway, I merely wanted to share my thoughts on this since I really appreciate your work and I believe this style, if done well, would thrive in our country.
