This is a great tutorial... I'm not sure if you covered this in more recent tutorials but for reels, the focal point of the video (you talking) needs to be centered and within 1080x1350. For those that watch reels in their feed anything outside 1080x1350 would be cut off and only visible if you click on the reel. Not sure if this makes sense?

Yesss. I needed this one. IG does a great job of options - but Canva gives even more control. And we can schedule these in the social planner right!?

Hi Fanshen, we cannot schedule Reels at the moment. Instagram’s API allows to schedule Instagram photos and videos, but currently, it doesn’t allow to schedule reels. So the issue is not with Canva but with Instagram's API. Hopefully Instagram changes this soon 😉

Create on computer, then open Canva App from mobile phone, Download it in your Mobile and then upload on instagram. easier way.

Your video was so helpful. I much prefer working in Canva over trying to edit on my phone. I have a question, how do you put in your silhouette video on the right of you talking and explaining things? I'd love to do that in my painting videos.

It's a combination of having a green screen in the studio, the proper lighting to make sure your green screen is properly lit and an effect called ultra key that we use in our editing software (Premiere Pro) to get rid of the background.

*I doubt they edit their own videos at all. Most people at their level have editors. I used to watch a channel that was geared towards MOBILE device users, however, when I found out they never once used a mobile device to record or edit their videos I was disappointed and unsubscribed and stopped watching. The channel was a pretty big channel too, so extremely disappointed.* 🤷🏾‍♀️

Can't seem to drag the video inside the phone frame and I have Canva Pro. It seems to work merely as an image and there are hundreds to choose from. How to I differentiate between the images allowing videos inside and those that are mere images? Or am I dragging it the wrong way?

Make sure you use a phone frame from the "Frame" section of Canva. If you see the green and blue placeholder BG in the frame, it means you can drag a video or a photo into it.

Here's a little tip you want to make an interesting Canva video. Why don't you do canva app for desktop vs regular web login. I'm seeing a huge difference when it comes to video lag which can be a big problem on canvas...but I will have to finally do it myself
