I think of Hypocrisy as rebuking something, or talking against something especially something perceived as an unwanted thing to be associated with. But at the same time the rebuker is participating in that very thing they are rebuking. Perfect example, scripture about the dealings of the Pharisees. What a wonderful treat at the end.
