I have a general theory- due to Iscream effectively losing most of their scariness towards the main cast and softening out too much to fulfill his mission in corrupting Chikin, the demon overlord he serves might have deemed him a traitor- siphoning away his power and leaving him trapped as a simple bunny. Just look at the eyes in his insane form- they’ve lost the red tint in the middle of the iris, and he’s smiling (dementedly) with much less sharp teeth, barring the two front ones. Hell I don’t know, just my opinion. Awesome cover though!

The traitor part is correct, his insane design however is not him losing his power, rather losing control of themself to the overlord/Satanism (which they used to cope through the breakup). The other details are just a reference to the frenetical cover design of Iscream. Cool theory though, I appreciate comments like this. :D

I like to imagine that the context for this is that Fwench Fwy believed that being together with Iscream wouldn't be possible because they're opposites, even though their relationship was healthy. And them being split up completely broke Iscream to the point of not only being completely broken, but going crazy with his demonic power.
