So here's what this makes me think of. In the last moments as the boss reveals his trump card, the protagonist a beaten and battered individual gasping for air and rapidly losing his strength finally decides the only way to win is the ultimate sacrifice. Clutching his weapon he knows that this must be a killing blow, they will not get another. After going through with the plan they fall, eyes slowly loosing focus and finally vision has gone black. The final result........unknown.

-idea: Melpomene in ancient Greece was originally the muse of chorus but eventually became the muse of tragedy -powers: could use illusions to make herself look like her old self the muse of chorus but in second phase changes to a darker self and the music can ramp up in intensity looks: sits on a grand piano made of marble and looks very statue like and wears the frowning drama mask she is a goddess in Greek mythology and her battlefield could look like the Parthenon or something like that. -motives: wants to regain the status of muse of chorus and will do anything to "regain the title that she rightfully deserves" -alignment: not really sure but something around chaotic evil I think I think she would be a great fit at least somewhere in the tuba kingdom story please give me feedback on what I should change

I blame you for this: The battle was arduous, long and hard they fought but the fencer's defense was impeccable. Each strike like a sharp not tearing at their will. He danced around them like a master, dark mist swirled in an abysmal vortex as he dashed to and fro. His blade came to strike her, down, the notes of her song would be cut short, so she thought. His blade did not make it's mark. The champion clad in brass stood between them, the blade sunk through his armor as the notes died in his lungs. She watched the red leak from the giant of a man, who could only look at her with a smile. The thing pulled away, the smile on it's mask seeming to stretch wider then ever before and she felt it. Deep inside her, her own notes changing, shifting thumping like a piano in her soul. She rose, and poised her blade, her strikes swift and vicious with each note as she struck out, almost aware of the wizard trying to heal their metal friend with his technology. But she heard only the thumping of the deep notes, the shrill hymn of her anger and the burning urge to kill this corrupted thing.
