Desperate Housewives • Mike & Susan 8x16 (HUGE SPOILERS)

I cannot express my sadness at the shows decision to kill off Mike Delfino :( seriously ripping himself and Susan is the worst decision I have ever heard of! I think im actually traumatised by what just happened in 8x16...........the final scenes just had me in pieces, especialy when the flashbacks came on I was like OMG!! are they really doing this to us ?? and I am dreading next weeks episode, I just know its going to be a real tearjerker from the promo.....though Im glad the episode picks up right where they left off at the end! Ive always been a huge fan of Mike & Susan and Im just absolutely gutted that the show is going to end on such a low for poor Susan :( His death is going to have a huge impact on everybody on the show I think!
Anyway this vid is just something small I put together today....Im gona be making a proper longer tribute to their relationship after next weeks episode because I expect flashbacks and some more scenes!

It's an absolute travesty to do this to them. I'm gutted for Susan that she is alone once again without the love of her life.....Just a terrible ending for her and us fans who have rooted for her since day one....8 years of history destroyed for a shock....So not worth it......Amazing video though btw! The fact that you used the music for Buffy and Angel made it that much better! :) Really beautiful.....RIP Mike!

Thank you for posting this! I'm torn between anger and utter sadness, here. I just can't believe this is the way they want to end the show. Susan & Mike have always been my favorite couple on DH and I don't get why they would kill him (and in such a random way) only a few episodes before the series finale. After all these years of drama, why couldn't they get their happy ending? This is so disappointing!

Aww wow that actually made me more emotional than the actual scene! I watched it today and I guess I've known about it way too long cos it didn't have that big of an impact on me. I didn't really buy how this guy would just shoot him in broad daylight and leave a witness behind too...but I know the next episode will tear me apart. Anyway, this video was so beautiful, ahhhh I can't believe they did that to us either!

When he got shot, I was praying that he didn't die, I seriously thought do to the promo of this episode that one of the main girls was gonna die, so at first I thought it was going to be susan, this sucks! Mike was such a great character! The flashback scenes just made me miss him more :'(

@laurineXlaurine Actually, this is one of the strongest things to do in a plot. You're always told again and again in school to never ever kill one of the characters in your show unless you really know what you're doing with it, because if you kill someone that people even mildly relate to, it could break the show. I think the writers have the idea for the ending down solid, and they just wanted to rip our hearts out even more, just to help us remember how good Desperate Housewives is.

In the beginning where they were showing all the people down the street and Mary Alice said that one of the neighbors would die, I thought it was going to be the cat Juanita had in her bicycle. No joke.

I personally like all of the husbands on Desperate Housewives. I have always been a huge fan of Mike and Tom. I did not really care for Carlos, but after the season where 5 years had past in Wisteria Lane, I have grown to like him. Orson is not one I have ever cared for, especially now. Even though he is not a husband, or not at the moment at least, I like Ben. Out of all the love interests these women had, Susan has had the best, while Bree has had the worst.

I'm glad this show is ending. I'll just pretend the show ended when MS entered the house and shut the door after that sweet scene. Problem solved. Mike / Susan were my favorite DH couple from the beginning and for them to end like this makes me ticked at the 8 years I wasted through the ups and massive downs. I would have been fine with either of the other two husbands dying (LOL) but not Mike.

i didn't like mike AT ALL... nor susan. at all. but killing him in that way is really cruel for his fans and the fans of the couple :/
