found this band thru abiogenesis, and god damn. this shit is fiiiiiiiiire. abiogenesis is good metalcore, but this shit is absolute. fire. deathcore drumming with some of the gnarliest blasts i've heard, melodic riffs, big chords, ridiculous guttural lows... what's not to love

da sentience a derelict c'é tantissima differenza, avete sdoganato il deathcore per un sound più vicino al prog death però non rinnegando le vostre origini core, sound stra ispirato e fresco. e bello vedere che in sto paese tra le facce di culo dei talent show e i classici gruppettini radiofonici di finto rock ci siano grupponi come voi, rendete onore a questa terra.

E' assurdo come da un album Deathcore mediocre e pieno dei classici difetti giustificabili con l'inesperienza come Sentience (che aveva comunque qualche nota di originalità qua e la) siete arrivati a concepire un sound così originale e fresco distruggendo i cliché del genere inserendo melodie atipiche a tutto il Metal che io abbia mai sentito in generale e con un equilibrio e una cura nella forma sublime. Poi adoro i testi cosi esteticamente criptici e fuori dal comune dal classico Deathcore che parla nella maggior parte dei casi di argomenti triti e ritriti nello stesso modo in cui tutti ne parlando da sempre. Mi ero innamorato di voi con Disperse e sinceramente mi aspettavo un album che seguisse di più quella vena pseudo-progressive presente nell'EP ma devo dire che con Relics mi avete stupito come credo abbiate stupito chiunque vi conoscesse o vi ha scoperto con esso. Vi auguro di raggiungere una certa importanza nella scena perché ve la meritate tutta e spero di poter arrivare al vostro livello di bravura e originalità un giorno con il mio gruppo, se non oltre ;). Complimenti anche per il release party a Marghera, è stato veramente divertente, sopratutto per l'invasione del palco durante il finale di Dissipating Martyrs.

Ottimo pezzo. E parla uno a cui di solito il deathcore fa abbastanza schifo. Se tutto il deathcore fosse così il genere si alzerebbe considerevolmente di livello.
