The rice cakes wrapped in leaves and tied with string are called "Sasa-dango". They are a specialty of Niigata, Japan. They are easy to eat if you open them like peeling a banana. I'm Japanese and from Niigata, so I'm happy to see this being introduced. I love your video, it looks delicious! (I used Google translation so please excuse any strange parts.)

Great video! Everything looks so good, especially the jelly noodles and the mashed potato skewer (which reminds me of this frozen food we have in Canada called Smiley Fries, they're basically the same thing!)
